About thirty Members and Friends turned out to hear Dave MacKenzie and Sue Sharpels speak about their experiences as elite athletes in world class triathlon and cycling.

Sue gave some great advice on assembling sponsorship contributions and generated keen interest from the floor on this point.

Dave's description of the life and dedication needed to win a stage of the Giro d'Italia had us enthralled.  What a great privilege to have the SBS 2008 Tour de France Co-Commentator all to ourselves for the afternoon!

Thanks to Dave and Sue for donating their time to the club.

The afternoon was well catered and prepared with lots of extra interest generated by Door prizes and raffle tickets and a copiously stocked buffet and bar.  Great value for $20 indeed.  Thanks also to Deanne, D'Wayne, Paula, Dan Roberts and Gail Miller for organising such a great event.
