On Sunday we awoke to a very warm morning for the annual Golden Slipper.
We started the morning with the two junior girls racing. Georgia and Hannah, who are sisters, battled it out in true sibling style, with only 33 seconds separating them at the finish line.
We then had another 18 athletes take off in two waves to compete for the Golden Slipper & Golden Stiletto.
In the end it was Cam Simon and Teegan Nugent who took out 1st place. However, the competition was fierce with Dave Owen in second place in 40.25 and Aaron Conn in third in 41.40.
Thankyou to all the volunteers who turned up to lend a hand. It really is true that many hands make light work.
