Club Triathlon Series

“Rules”

1.   Club member finishers will be awarded points based on finish order for each race.

2.   Only Eltham Triathlon and open water club members (except “associate” category) will be eligible for awards

3.   Points are awarded in 5 categories:

i.  OPEN male (elite/pro/open/ITU junior/U23)

ii. OPEN female (elite/pro/open/ITU junior/U23)

iii. Age group male

iv. Age group female

v. Junior

4.   If you score twice or more in one category you will be ranked in that category (eg. John race OPEN once and age group four times, his open points will be rolled back to age group and all points will be added to the age group category).

5.  The Age group category does not have 5 years subdivision. It is an overall category.

6.   Points for the junior category will be awarded in the secondary race of the day (eg. The Brooks race of the Gatorade series) for a club member holding a Junior membership regardless of gender and must be aged 15 years or below as ruled by Triathlon Australia.

7.      There is no minimum number of races required.

8.      The series points will be calculated on the five best results (if you race 5 or less races, all your races will count); the junior category will be 4 out of 5.

9.       In the event of a tie for the series winner only points where both athletes have raced together will be added, the winner will be the one with the most points. If this is not enough, the times of these races will be added and the quicker overall time will identify the winner.

10.  The series consists of one duathlon short course, two sprint distance races, one olympic distance race and one Half Ironman race. The races are selected on the previous year attendance and where possible should not clash with any national series or national championships event.

11.    Each race is awarded the same number of points awarded regardless of distance.
